Position: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR - Validation Engineer

A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

The Validation Engineer is responsible for performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of client-provided or other national, international, or industry-specific performance and durability standards or U.S., Canadian and other international product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients.

What You’ll Do:
  • Execute validation tests using NI test stand, LabVIEW, ETAS INCA, or other test monitoring programs.
  • Work on Control Modules or ADAS systems.
  • Create, interpret, and lead DVPR activities.
  • Apply problem‑solving methods such as Fishbone, Shanin Red X, and FMEA.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and schematics.
What You Bring:
  • B.E. degree in Electrical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive supplier or OEM environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic components such as microcontrollers, capacitors, and inductors.
  • Knowledge of electronic communications including Ethernet, CAN, and LIN.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Suite (ECDL).
  • Validation experience with knowledge of test and validation methods.
  • Knowledge of accelerated life testing.
Physical Considerations:
  • Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions. This may include climbing stairs, walking long distances, walking on rough and uneven terrain, walking through client work facilities, working in heat/cold conditions, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled.
  • Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion.
  • Extended periods of computer‑based work.
  • Extended periods of standing.
