Controls Engineering Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Controls Engineering Manager for a direct hire opportunity in the Holland, MI area. This role requires an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, strong PLC programming expertise, and significant experience in leadership and project management within the automation industry.

• Lead and manage a team of Electrical Controls Engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Mentor and coach Controls Engineers to foster professional growth and development.
• Procure appropriate components for projects to ensure efficient execution.
• Solve complex problems related to process and control systems.
• Lead projects from initial concept through installation, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with Machine Designers and Project Managers to ensure project accuracy and meet expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred.
• Proven leadership and management experience in an engineering environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on PLC programming experience, including proficiency with Allen Bradley RSLogix
  5000 and Siemens S7 Controls.
• Strong capability in leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers.
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a Green Card.

• Annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.
