Lead Electrical Design Engineer – Industrial Automation

A growing system integrator in industrial automation is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to bridge Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams, turning project requirements into finished electrical and pneumatic design packages for customers.

A strong fit for someone ready to take on more ownership of the customer relationship, from first draft through to sign-off.

• Run the electrical design side of assigned projects and deliver finished packages to customers.
• Be the electrical point of contact in customer meetings, walking through designs and leading reviews.
• Hold designs to a high quality and safety bar, in line with industry best practice.
• Manage design changes with the manufacturing floor as projects move through build.
• Check completed wiring and assemblies against drawings and safety requirements.
• Make sure customer documentation is complete and delivered on time.

• Degree in an Electrical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in electrical or controls design.
• Strong AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical skills.
• Comfortable designing low-voltage control systems with pneumatic elements.
• A clear communicator, detail-focused, happy supporting more junior team members.
