We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong GCCS (Global Controls & Commissioning System) experience to support automotive manufacturing and automation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming, controls integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and GCCS standards in a production environment.
The engineer will work closely with controls, electrical, robotics, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to ensure automated equipment and production lines are successfully integrated, commissioned, and optimized.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC control programs for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Work extensively with GCCS standards and controls architecture
. - Perform controls integration, commissioning, startup, and debugging of production equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC, I/O, HMI, network, sensors, actuators, and electrical control issues.
- Support Allen-Bradley PLCs
, including RSLogix 500/5000 and Studio 5000. - Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks
, remote I/O, Ethernet/IP, and related devices. - Review electrical schematics, I/O drawings, sequence documentation, and control panel designs.
- Develop and modify HMI screens, alarms, diagnostics, and operator interfaces.
- Integrate PLC controls with robots, conveyors, vision systems, safety devices, and other automation equipment

- 5+ years of experience in Controls Engineering / Controls Programming
. - Strong hands-on experience with GCCS
. - Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / RS Logix 5000
. - Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
- Experience with HMI programming and troubleshooting
. - Knowledge of Ether Net/IP, remote I/O, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control systems
