Laingsburg Community Singers – Accompanist (Pianist)

The Laingsburg Community Singers (LCS), a community choir serving Laingsburg and the greater Lansing area since 1976
, is seeking a pianist to accompany our choir during rehearsals and performances.

The Accompanist works closely with the Artistic Director and choir members to support rehearsals and performances throughout our Fall–Winter and Winter–Spring seasons.

• Accompany weekly choir rehearsals and scheduled performances
• Work collaboratively with the Artistic Director to prepare music
• Provide musical support to singers during rehearsals
• Assist with learning and performance preparation as needed
• Communicate any scheduling conflicts in a timely manner

• Ability to read and perform from sheet music
• Strong piano skills and accompaniment experience
• Ability to work with singers of varying experience levels
• Reliable, organized, and collaborative
• Experience accompanying choirs or vocal ensembles is preferred but not required

• Rehearsals are held in Laingsburg, Michigan
• Choir seasons run Fall–Winter and Winter–Spring
  , with summers off
• Attendance at rehearsals and concerts is expected, though occasional scheduling conflicts can be accommodated
• Compensation: $75 per rehearsal/session

, LCS is a multi-generational, non-audition community choir that brings together singers from Laingsburg and surrounding communities. We perform a variety of musical styles, including classical, folk, contemporary, holiday, and popular selections.
