* THIS ROLE REQUIRES RELOCATION TO FLORIDA

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Corporate Controller for a client based in Florida to lead global accounting operations and provide technical accounting leadership across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and overseeing compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Controller partners closely with executive leadership and external stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely financial information and support strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct all core accounting functions across multiple entities, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting, payroll, and indirect tax activities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on accounting standards and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, including complex technical interpretations
  • Lead and develop accounting teams across domestic and international operations
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring deadlines are met and results are accurate
  • Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures for internal and external reporting purposes
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, estimates, and supporting technical documentation
  • Design, implement, and monitor effective internal control structures and identify opportunities for process enhancements
  • Provide guidance on accounting implications related to revenue recognition, contractual arrangements, capital transactions, and new business initiatives
  • Oversee equity-related accounting, including stock-based compensation and share activity
  • Partner with treasury to monitor global cash positions, support financing requirements, and manage intercompany transactions
  • Act as the primary owner of financial systems, ensuring proper controls, system optimization, and scalability of ERP and related tools
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting organization, promoting accountability and consistent review practices
  • Support executive leadership and governance bodies through preparation of audit materials and financial reporting insights
  • Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit activities across global operations
  • Oversee compliance with tax regulations in collaboration with external advisors
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial and operational teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and policy adherence
  • Manage programs related to corporate credit cards and vehicle-related expenses
  • Support audits related to employee benefit plans and insurance programs
  • Promote a safe and compliant workplace environment in alignment with company policies
CORE COMPETENCIES

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10‑15 years of applicable experience
  • CPA designation is highly preferred
  • Progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership responsibilities
  • Background in a manufacturing or product-based environment is a must.
  • Experience with large ERP systems and financial reporting tools; familiarity with enterprise accounting software strongly preferred
