Ability to work standard business hours aligned with Eastern or Central Time Zones.
Responsibilities- Be fully engaged and consistently look for improvement measures and solutions to issues that hinder success.
- Process residential mortgage loans for all programs offered by Dart Bank in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a pipeline of loans and ensure timely and compliant flow through the process.
- Contact all borrowers within 24 hours of receiving the file to introduce yourself and request outstanding documentation.
- Obtain and review necessary loan documentation and update Encompass prior to submission to Underwriting for loan approval.
- Monitor and ensure closing dates and company deadlines are met.
- Follow company policies and procedures; avoid workarounds.
- Communicate with buyers, sellers, title companies, builders, and agents; and with borrowers and third parties to obtain loan documentation verbally and via email.
- Coordinate with Mortgage Bankers and assistants to ensure processing and underwriting components are completed in time to meet the closing date.
- Obtain and verify that all underwriting conditions are received, reviewed, and cleared by the underwriter; prepare the file for submission to the Closing Department.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with data entry or documentation received.
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Stay current with changes in policies, procedures, standards, and regulations applicable to the company and mortgage industry; manage high volume and maintain production goals.
- Adaptability and candor: work with evolving mortgage technology and provide feedback to improve products.
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication, handling delicate situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Actively participate in and advocate for the bank’s training and development programs and commitment to learning.
- Communicate effectively with the Underwriter regarding changes to the loan file.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, accuracy, and timely management of e-folder/conditions.
- Bring issues to management or the team lead as they arise.
- Collaborate as a team to ensure best practices and continuous improvements.
- Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Education
- Minimum of High School diploma, college degree preferred.
- Experience
- 6 months to two years of prior mortgage loan processing experience
- Experience with web-based automated underwriting systems and loan origination systems, including Encompass and Blend is preferred.
- Experience working with correspondent lenders preferred.
- Government lending experience preferred but not required.
