Accountant - Receivables, Payables, Grants PRIMARY ROLE
The primary role of this position is to supervise the appropriate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivables, and to assist in the coordination of the financial function surrounding the districts grants.
RESPONSIBLE TOAssistant Superintendent for Business & Finance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- 1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration preferred.
- 2. Experience illustrating achievement in business and financial administration including, but not limited to, general accounting, budgets, purchasing, and auditing.
- 3. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- 4. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- 5. Must be bondable to appropriate level.
- 6. Must pass criminal background check as required by School Safety Legislation.
- 1. Proficiency in related areas including financial information systems, purchasing and cash management
- 2. Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing and supervising personnel.
- 3. Demonstrated knowledge in using the AS400 preferred.
- 1. Perform all job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- 2. Ensure appropriate records are maintained.
- 3. Maintain system to monitor outstanding grants.
- 4. Monitor and support multi-year grants.
- 5. Supervise the A.P. process to ensure accurate entry into finance system and process payments.
- 6. Assist auditors for the purpose of providing supporting documentation and/or information on internal process that is required for audit.
- 7. Perform other duties as required.
