Lead a High-Impact Finance Function in Behavioral Health
OnPoint is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead core accounting operations in a mission-driven behavioral health organization serving Allegan County. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who is ready to supervise staff, strengthen processes, and play a key role in financial integrity, compliance, and reporting.
You will oversee critical areas including accounts payable, payroll, grants, and financial close, while mentoring a small team and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.

Salary: $63,876.80 - $88,171.20 (based on experience)

Supervise & Lead
- Oversee and develop a team of:
- Accounts Payable Analyst
- Payroll Specialist
- General Accountant
- Coach staff, delegate work, and support performance development
Accounting Operations
- Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entry review
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and financial records
- Review bank reconciliations, cash receipts, and AP transactions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards
Payroll & Tax Reporting
- Review biweekly payroll processing
- Oversee W-2 and 1099 reporting
Grants & Compliance
- Oversee grant budgets and monthly reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements (2 CFR 200)
- Manage audit support across financial, grant, and payroll areas
Specialized Functions
- Oversee provider claim payments and reconciliations
- Manage purchasing, credit cards, and electronic payments
- Maintain fixed asset accounting and inventory tracking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Demonstrated ability to lead, prioritize, and work independently
- Experience in governmental accounting or healthcare/behavioral health
- Familiarity with grant compliance (2 CFR 200)
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics GP a plus)
- Strong Excel skills
- Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.
This position supports a hybrid work schedule with a regular on-site presence in Allegan, MI, working in a professional office environment with occasional local travel.
Additional Information- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Valid driver’s license may be required for local travel
One full-time position (40 hours/week).
