General Function
The Person al Banker II position will provide an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker will help customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span the customer’s lifecycle using our consultative sales and service process. The banker is responsible and accountable for risk, follows policies and procedures, acts in the best interest of customers and colleagues, and ensures a positive experience while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach by phone, in person, or other channels.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to ensure appropriate solutions.
- Provide support for current and new technology.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies.
- High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
- Experience in a sales environment required; experience in the financial industry is a plus.
- Ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
- Professional representation of Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
- Business acumen and sound decision making.
- Position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment.

- Extended viewing of computer screens.
- Periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and training.
The base salary for this position is reflective of the salary range for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries vary based on role, skills, experience, education and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business and/or individual performance.
