We are seeking an entry-level, detail-oriented Financial Planner to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Financial Planner serves as a trusted advisor responsible for delivering comprehensive, goal-based financial planning to individuals, families, and businesses. This role applies advanced analytical judgment, technical planning expertise, and client relationship management to develop tailored strategies that support long-term financial objectives and contribute to a differentiated client experience.

Job Summary:
  • Evaluate complex financial information for individuals, families, and businesses to develop comprehensive plans aligned with each client’s goals, priorities, risk profile, and broader financial circumstances.
  • Gather, synthesize, and interpret client data to support high-quality financial planning recommendations and a disciplined planning process.
  • Apply the CFP® financial planning framework to design, maintain, and refine comprehensive, goal-based financial plans.
  • Advise clients on cash flow projections and planning strategies, including the development, communication, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of recommendations.
  • Assess investment strategies, asset allocation considerations, and related planning recommendations in alignment with clients’ objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and long‑term priorities.
  • Conduct financial analysis and research to identify planning opportunities, address risks, and support informed decision‑making.
  • Stay current on industry trends, planning strategies, technology, and regulatory changes to support compliant, accurate, and relevant client advice.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive, clear, and professional communication.
  • Engage with clients on a timely basis for scheduled reviews, plan updates, and planning‑related follow‑up needs.
  • Educate clients and Tri‑Star team members on financial planning topics, recommendations, and client‑specific strategies.
  • Prepare written financial plans and present recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to introduce the financial planning process to prospects and support integrated client service.
  • Communicate plans and strategies effectively through in‑person meetings, video conferencing, phone calls, and other approved communication channels.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency with financial planning software, client relationship systems, and supporting technology platforms.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • The ability to understand and learn multiple platforms and how they integration with each other.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships.
  • Ability to learn and work with trust accounting system.
Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years’ experience in the finance industry
  • 2+ years’ experience in a client‑facing role
  • Familiar with financial planning software (eMoney preferred)
