Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Customer Experience Division's Training section within the Office of Continuous Improvement. The individual is involved in advancing the Lean Process Improvement (LPI) methodology throughout the State of Michigan (SOM) through training, monitoring, and certification practices. This lead role is responsible for the LPI certification program, coordination of the LPI mentoring program, training research, facilitation, reporting, instructional design and training delivery of the methodology, documentation and validation of results.
This individual is also responsible for the human-centered design (HCD) certification program, to include but not limited to administration of the program such as participation intake, participant oversight, mentoring coordination, and researcher certification.

- The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Required Education And Experience EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
ExperienceFour years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

Applicants who possess foreign degrees must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents. Civil Service accepts evaluations from organizations listed on the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc.
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience.
