Description

Certified Nursing Assistant at Senior Community Care of Michigan PACE. Provides flexibility, benefits and a supportive work environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Shift: Operating hours between 7:00 AM‑9:00 PM, 8 hours per day, 1 weekend per month.

Responsibilities
  • Consult daily with the Personal Care Supervisor (or designee) to stay updated on participant status and care plan changes.
  • Assist participants in the home and day center with activities of daily living under the direction of the Home Care Manager and Personal Care Supervisor, including:
    • Personal hygiene (skin, mouth, hair care, bathing/showering)
    • Assistance in and out of bed and ambulation
    • Assistance with prescribed exercise routines
    • Preparing meals (including therapeutic diets), feeding assistance
    • Assistance with bathroom use, commode, bedpan, and urinal
    • Assisting with medications typically self‑administered
  • Support participants with independent activities of daily living (IADLs) such as grocery shopping, cleaning, bed linen changes, laundry, and meal preparation; report changes in condition and needs to the Personal Care Supervisor.
  • Complete documentation of services provided following company policy.
  • Follow Senior Community Care policies and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and participant information.
  • Handle potentially infectious specimens with appropriate biohazard precautions and practice Universal Precautions.
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) license in the state of Michigan.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with frail or elderly populations.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up‑to‑date immunizations before direct participant contact.
