Pay$16.50 - $21.50
ScheduleOperating hours 7:00 AM-9:00 PM. 8 hours per shift. 1 weekend per month, including every third weekend.

The Person al Caregiver is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living (ADL) and restorative/supportive care to ensure the physical and health safety of the home environment. The role includes monitoring and reporting health status and providing a safe environment for PACE participants of Senior Community Care of Michigan (SCCM). The employee works shifts in the SCCM Day Center and provides care and services to participants, assisting with a safe and effective day program.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation.
- Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before direct participant contact.
- Ability to work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally diverse populations.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of how to support frail or elderly in activities of daily living.
- Assist participants with non‑skilled activities of daily living (ADL) in the home and Day Center, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care, and toileting as assigned.
- Assist participants with non‑skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and Day Center, including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin‑care, personal care, etc.
- Assist participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL) such as grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation, and other routine household care as assigned.
- Complete appropriate documentation of services following Senior Community Care policy.
- Implement Personal Care Services plan of care; contact supervisor with any clarifications.
- Report changes in participant’s condition and needs to the Personal Care Supervisor (or designee).
- Act within the scope of authority to practice.
