Job Summary

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high‑quality MR studies, on‑site and/or remote. You ensure effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially when working in a mobile environment. You train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants. Other duties are assigned as needed.

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and (when required) remote MR Technologist Assistant oversight.
• Produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Operate multiple MR systems.
• Use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflict.
• Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants on‑site and/or remote.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• For technologists registered in other modalities: at least 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience, or currently enrolled in an accredited MRI training program for more than six months.
• For MR registered technologists (RT(MR) or ARMRIT): no experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• COVID‑19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• One year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.

• Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions while transporting patients if working on a mobile unit.
• Employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field.
• Employee may be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious or communicable disease when interacting with patients.
• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak, and hear required to communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel, crawl; climb and balance; carrying and lifting (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).

The final compensation offer is determined by several factors, including internal equity, experience, education, training, specialty, location, licensing, and business needs. The listed pay range is $37.27 – $48.45 per hour based on direct and relevant experience. Sign‑on bonus: $10,000. The listed pay range is not a guarantee of a specific wage.
