Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language disorders in clients
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech and language needs
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and nurses, to provide holistic care for clients
  • Monitor and document progress and outcomes of therapy sessions
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies to enhance communication and maintain progress
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech and language pathology and implement evidence-based practices in therapy sessions
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current license in Michigan as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health care setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their treatment methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and developing customized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to speech therapy
