Responsibilities
  • Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging and ensure high-quality images per established procedures
  • Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address concerns to foster comfort and confidence
  • Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Measure and prepare radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and correct localization
  • Properly identify, prepare, and administer medications/substances within the technologist’s scope of practice under a licensed independent practitioner
  • Complete quality assurance, adhere to radiation safety practices to reduce exposure, and maintain required documentation and records
Requirements
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (required)
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment with 40 hours per week
  • Capable of performing job duties under general supervision
  • Weekend rotation:
    Saturday and Sunday every 5th or 6th weekend as described
