Position: CT Technologist - 24 Hours Weekly - Afternoon Shift

Overview

CT Technologist - 24 hours weekly - Afternoon shift. Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Explains examination procedure to patients and prepares patient for the examination.
  • Manually controls the equipment to obtain the proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
  • Administers intravenous contrast media including the utilization of power injectors. Monitors patient for possible reactions as appropriate to the study and provides immediate care to patient if a reaction should occur.
  • Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for the procedure to be performed. Ensures the adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
Education/Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • (BCLS) BLS Provider obtained within one (1) month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certifications/Licensures Required
  • One or more of the following:
  • NMTCB credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • NMTCB (CD Computed Tomography Specialty Certification)
  • or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Must be registered in Computer Tomography within 12 months of date of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
