Mon-Fri 8 am - 4:30p
Collects and processes blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions.
Responsibilities- Sets up instruments. Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
- Receives, centrifuges, accessions, processes and transports specimens. Verifies all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.
- Orders add-on tests, works pending lists, and resolves duplicate orders.
- Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing.
