Job Details

LSC-Clinton, SC - Clinton, SC 29325 - Position Type:
Full Time - Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00
- Travel Percentage:
None - Shift: First Shift
- Provide individual and group counseling using evidence‑based interventions and practices.
- Assist in crisis de‑escalation, resolution, and debrief situations after incidents.
- Contribute, collaborate, and participate in child and family team meetings as requested by DSS.
- Contribute, collaborate, and participate in Day Services Team meetings.
- Maintain progress notes and therapy notes in Kaleidacare database in a timely manner.
- Complete assessments and assist in making referrals to appropriate services, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and agency information.
- Abide by licensing board requirements.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and LSC policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of area resources for referrals as needed by youth.
- Complete the minimum requirements for continuing education each year.
- Must be able to commute to Clinton, SC.
- Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related human service field.
- Licensure: Licensure preferred (LMSW, LISW, LPC, LMFT). Provisionally licensed required.
- Experience: Three years clinical experience as a therapist.
- Training or experience in treating individuals.
- Knowledge and experience in treating traumatized persons.
- Awareness and sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and experience diagnosing especially with children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol related issues.
- Knowledge of sex trafficking issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must excel in multi‑tasking and ability to communicate effectively with all groups of people.
Licensed or Certified by state in a therapy related discipline (or in the process of becoming certified or licensed).
