Physical Therapist Assistant (Tuscola)

Hours: Full‑Time, 40 hours a week

Location: Tuscola

Required: Associate’s Degree, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license, BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Pay: $23.87–$37.00 per hour, based on experience.

• Adheres to the APTA code of ethics.
• Appropriately carries out treatment as directed by supervising physical therapist.
• Provides a variety of treatment approaches utilizing appropriate manual techniques, equipment, and modalities.
• Appropriately modifies treatment in response to patient progress and keeps the PT informed of changes.
• Assists other facility staff members as needed to provide care and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Documents patient progress according to approved medical documentation procedures to best describe client progress toward established goals.
• Functions independently within the scope of the PTA Practice Act.
• Maintains patient records, ensuring that certifications and authorizations comply with third‑party payer requirements.
• Maintains and consistently demonstrates competency in all areas of client care, seeking additional information, in‑service training, or other educational opportunities to remain competent.
• Provides individualized patient and caregiver education.

• Associate’s Degree (Required).
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Physical Therapist Assistant license (if pending, must pass PTA exam after third attempt).
