LEAD PERI-OPERATIVE ASSISTANT
Department:Operating Room
Schedule:40 hours per week, Afternoon Shift, Includes weekends
Hospital:Henry Ford Macomb Hospital
Location:Clinton Township, MI
General Summary- Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, provides service support for assigned Surgical Services area(s) related to building services, patient transport, and patient preparation.
- Assists Surgical Services personnel in the positioning and maintenance of patient safety.
- Reports directly to the Surgical Services Leadership Team.
- Leads a team of four or more perioperative assistants.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- At least two years of experience as a Peri-Operative Assistant (POA) required.
- Must possess and maintain BLS-A certification.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting.
