Home Care Worker

Cares for elderly, disabled, convalescent or handicapped at Leisure Manor.

• Assists with daily activities.
• Performs tasks including but not limited to making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, washing dishes, ironing, cleaning, bathing, dressing, etc.
• May need to assist with prepares meals.
• Helps patient up and down stairs, in and out of bed, etc.
• Administers oral medication written under doctor prescription.
• Accompanies ambulatory patients outside of home.
• Entertains patient by reading, talking, listening to individual, upon request.
• Visits several households to provide similar daily care.
• Educated family about status/health of individual being cared for.

• Assist residents with transfers, toileting, showering, dressing/changing, and medication dispensing.
• Other duties include household chores, passing meals, doing dishes, and laundry.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Current CPR/First Aide and TB test required.
• Candidate should have a positive and patient demeanor.
• Must have the ability to handle a physical workload.
• Afternoon and midnight position needed.
• Experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
