SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and consultation services to support students with behavioral, developmental, and learning needs. The BCBA develops and implements behavior intervention plans (BIPs), conducts functional behavior assessments (FBAs), collaborates with special education teams, and provides training and support to staff and families to promote positive behavioral outcomes in accordance with IDEA and school district guidelines.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Active BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required
  • Valid Michigan license or certification as required for behavior analysis practice (e.g., LBA if applicable in district/state requirements)
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based interventions
  • Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Strong communication, data collection, and analytical skills
