Departmental Specialist - HS Quality and Integrity Section

This position serves as a quality data expert within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' division of contracts and quality management, reviewing and analyzing quality measures focused on behavioral health. The role provides high-level data and data system guidance to state systems and local agencies, specializing in analyzing Medicaid health plan data to discover trends and patterns, producing performance reports, and providing statistical consultation.

Responsibilities include leading encounter reconciliation efforts, managing research projects, addressing data quality issues, and serving as subject matter expertise for system changes and policy initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in any major
• Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level
• Experience with data analysis and quality measurement in behavioral health or health plans
• Proficiency with large datasets and statistical analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including health plans and community agencies
