Therapist Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory therapy and patient care based on physician orders, hospital policies, and departmental standards. Ensures optimal patient outcomes through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, education, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
• Evaluate patient responses to respiratory therapy and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to patient care and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience.
• Skilled in ventilator management, BIPAP, ICU, ER, and arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures.
• Possess current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Maintain NBRC certification and state licensure in Michigan.
