Part-Time Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking a part-time Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Autism Services team.

The BCaBA will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support the delivery of high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families. This position will assist with implementation and monitoring of individualized treatment plans, provide support and guidance to Behavior Technicians, collect and analyze behavioral data, and collaborate with families and the treatment team to promote meaningful progress.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the BCBA with implementation and monitoring of individualized ABA treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and feedback to Behavior Technicians under the direction of the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect, review, and analyze behavioral data to monitor client progress.
  • Assist with behavioral assessments and skill acquisition programming within the BCaBA scope of practice.
  • Model ABA strategies and interventions for staff and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals.
  • Ensure services are provided in accordance with agency policies, professional standards, and BACB requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
  • Current Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification in good standing.
  • Ability to meet applicable Michigan requirements for providing ABA services.
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, Behavior Technicians, and clinical staff.
Position Details

Part-Time – Up to 32 Hours per Week

This is an excellent opportunity for a BCaBA who enjoys direct clinical involvement while also supporting Behavior Technicians and working collaboratively with a BCBA and multidisciplinary team.
