Extensive Hiring Range – $48,115.42 – $62,341.78 – $76,568.14 – Commensurate with Verified Qualifications

The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for the administration of a comprehensive substance abuse program that provides counsel and support to help clients overcome addiction from drugs and/or alcohol through assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and ongoing support through care coordination care with others support services. The position may result in the need to work at both the Manistee and Muskegon locations.
Employment Qualifications:Minimum Necessary Qualifications
- Must have a Clinical Master’s Degree and Michigan Licensure (or in pursuit of) as a LMSW, LLMSW, and LPC; and
- Must have experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders using evidence-based therapies.
- A current Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or in pursuit of; and
- Endorsement of abstinence in their counseling philosophy and approach; and
- The possession of a valid Driver’s License with the ability to be insured under the Tribe’s insurance policy.
