Therapist In The Children's Outpatient Program

As a therapist in the Children's Outpatient Program, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct intake assessments, including all necessary opening paperwork (Integrated Biopsychosocial, financial and demographic forms, etc.)
• Gather and integrate information from all available sources, including client self-reports, reports from family members, guardian(s) and probation officer, documented medical, treatment history, etc.;
• Assist with the development of comprehensive person-centered treatment planning with consumers and other members of the treatment team (consistent with Integrated Biopsychosocial Assessment and all other clinical assessments);
• Provide face-to-face clinical interventions, in the office, to each assigned consumer at least monthly.
• Provide individual, family and group therapy.
• Conduct crisis planning with client.
• Provide parent education, coaching and training.
• Provide referrals for services and community resources as needed.
• Work collaboratively with others in relation to the child and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, Wraparound facilitators, school personnel and other family service or support people.
• Advocate on behalf of the child and family to assist them in meeting their needs and reaching their desired level of self-sufficiency.
• Assess client satisfaction and participate in program evaluation as needed.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings and case consultations.

Submission requirements:

• Must have a Master’s Degree or higher and be a psychologist (TLLP, LLP, or LP), licensed master’s social worker (LMSW) or limited licensed master’s social worker (LLMSW) supervised by a licensed master’s social worker, licensed professional counselor (LPC) or limited licensed professional counselor (LLPC) currently in the state of Michigan.
• Full license (LMSW, LP, or LPC) preferred. Or must hold state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, LLP).
