As an Emergency Department Technician / Emergency Medical Technician, you'll provide direct patient care and technical support services within the Emergency Department while helping ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients of all ages.
What You'll DoAssist with patient assessments, vital signs, and data collection.
Support emergency and urgent care activities under the direction of licensed clinical staff.
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as assigned.
Obtain and document electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic procedures.
Assist with patient transport, positioning, transfers, and mobility needs.
Support trauma, emergency response, and resuscitation activities.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supply readiness.
Assist with documentation and patient care activities within the electronic medical record.
Promote patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications Current EMT certification or eligibility to function as an Emergency Department Technician.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-stress situations.
Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
Strong organizational and observational abilities.
Preferred Qualities Emergency Department experience.
EMS experience.
Phlebotomy experience.
EKG proficiency.
Trauma or emergency response experience.

Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Patient transport and mobility assistance.
Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.
Direct patient care activities throughout the workday.
Education, Certifications & Licensure High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current EMT certification required or Emergency Department Technician experience as approved by organizational requirements.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or phlebotomy certification preferred.
Ongoing competency validation and continuing education required.
