Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Recruiter to join our Human Resources Division. The role includes recruiting external and internal candidates for various positions within Auto‑Owners Insurance. The position is based in Lansing, Michigan and may be telecommutable up to three days per week following initial training.

• Attend recruiting functions such as career fairs, on‑campus interviews, college visits, and other events.
• Assist walk‑in applicants with the application process, conduct typing tests and interviews.
• Identify and evaluate external and internal candidates, recommending and negotiating offers.
• Maintain applicant tracking system data and generate reports.
• Perform background checks and employment verifications.
• Coordinate appointments, interviews, meetings, and seminars.
• Develop and implement a recruiting plan within a defined territory.
• Participate in presentations, public speaking engagements, and training classes as required.
• Support projects and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain a consistent attendance record in line with the defined work schedule.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources with emphasis on Talent Acquisition.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a confidential role at Auto‑Owners or similar.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive; maintain a clean driving record per underwriting guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Technical proficiency with Workday, Handshake, Microsoft Office and other business software.
• High energy, charisma, confidence, and a positive attitude.
