Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as the sole HR leader for the organization, owning the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through employee relations, compliance, and total rewards. This role partners closely with leadership to build and support a high-performing workforce while ensuring compliance and operational excellence across all HR functions.

This is a hands‑on role that blends strategic thinking with day‑to‑day execution, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building, improving, and owning HR processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits
  • Maintain accurate employee records and compile reports on personnel‑related data, including hires, performance, and attendance
  • Advise and support managers in employee relations matters, including progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, and terminations
  • Participate in management and staff meetings and provide HR guidance to leadership
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and manage wage garnishments, child support, and related requirements
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, claims resolution, and employee communication
  • Lead full‑cycle recruiting for all positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain and support company‑wide performance review processes, including scheduling, documentation, and manager support
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations, including OSHA/MIOSHA, EEO, and affirmative action requirements
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and required reporting
  • Prepare, update, and maintain the employee handbook, policies, procedures, and forms
  • Analyze and support compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive and compliant
  • Partner with leadership to support employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives, including wellness and safety programs
  • Maintain ongoing professional knowledge through training, research, and professional development

Knowledge and Experience
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • 5(+) years experience in a Human Resources capacity
  • Ethical conduct
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company and employee information
  • Familiar with and proficient with ADP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office utilities
  • Highly organized with exceptional problem‑solving skills
  • Full understanding of document and control SOP's
  • Effective time management in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations (preferred)
Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms;

lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to communicate verbally with co‑workers and other individuals; be able to hear well; see clearly and up close. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
