Software Engineer, Cybersecurity, IT Consultant

We are seeking a skilled ESB (IIB & ITX) Developer with strong expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM Transformation Extender (ITX), along with hands-on experience in healthcare integrations using HL7, HIPAA, and FHIR standards.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining integration workflows, EDI mappings, and secure API solutions to support healthcare systems and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Design and support healthcare integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR, REST, and SOAP APIs
• Develop and maintain IBM ITX / WTX maps for EDI ↔ JSON transformations
• Work with healthcare EDI transactions (
  837P/I, 834, 835, 997
  ) with HIPAA compliance validation
• Troubleshoot message parsing, routing, and data integrity issues
• Build secure RESTful and SOAP APIs using IBM IIB/ACE and API Connect
• Perform data transformations across XML, JSON, and EDI formats with encryption and authentication
• Provide guidance on HL7 implementations, Rhapsody configuration, and ITX REST mapping
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical estimates
• Collaborate with QA and Operations teams to ensure smooth deployments
• Resolve complex integration issues across distributed environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience as an EDI / Integration Developer in healthcare IT
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM IIB/ACE and IBM ITX
• Deep understanding of HL7 v2/v3, CDA, FHIR, and HIPAA
• Experience with EDI healthcare transactions and compliance checks
• Proficiency in SOA, Web Services, XML, Java, SQL, and Databases
• Knowledge of SNIP Level 7 validation

• Rhapsody Integration Engine Certification
• Experience integrating systems for hospitals, clinics, and labs
• Knowledge of HITECH Act, Meaningful Use, and clinical terminology
