Senior Systems Engineer

Phoenix Cyber has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting a government client. This position is onsite at the client location.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10 years of experience in Systems Administration
• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software
• Category IAT Level II
• Top Secret Clearance or higher
• Azure, Windows, or AWS certification

Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing critical IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage) within secure environments.

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain servers, storage, and peripherals.
• Administer Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), and VMwareenvironments.
• Ensure system stability, integrity, and performance for core organizational functions.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades and maintenance.

• Apply and validate DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure secure configurations.
• Implement and manage security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and accreditation.
• Monitor for security threats and risks, managing firewalls.

• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation, and network
  diagrams.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Power Shell, Python, or Ansible.
• Create and maintain OS images for deployment.

• Provide advanced, Tier 2/3 technical support, resolving complex incidents.
• Monitor system performance (e.g., SCOM) and manage backups/disaster recovery.
• Escalate issues and provide detailed reports (DLA INFOSPOTS, SITREPs, AARs) for critical outages.
