Job Title: Senior Cloud / AWS Platform Engineer

Location: Lansing, MI

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

We’re hiring a Senior Cloud / AWS Platform Engineer to lead and maintain a production-grade geospatial ML platform in AWS for one of our Fortune 500 Insurance partners. This is a hands-on, infrastructure-heavy role focused on building and operating AWS environments programmatically at scale — not via the console.

You’ll work across serverless architecture, ML inference integration, and Infrastructure-as-Code to ensure reliability and scalability in a production environment.

• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using Cloud Formation, CDK, or Terraform
• Build and maintain Python APIs (FastAPI or similar)
• Develop production AWS Lambda functions
• Integrate Sage Maker inference endpoints into live APIs
• Support ETL workflows (AWS Glue, SQL-based pipelines)
• Debug across AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3)

• Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Cloud Formation, CDK, or Terraform)
• Serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)
• Sage Maker endpoint integration (inference only)
• Strong SQL skills (performance optimization, schema design)
• Docker/containerization
• Experience operating in production AWS environments
