The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst – Cloud, Network, Infrastructure Security & IAM supports:
Career Progression:
This role provides a foundation for growth into Cloud Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer, Security Operations, IAM Engineer, PAM Engineer, or IAM Operations Specialist roles, with exposure to access governance, cloud identity, and privileged access management.
- Monitor security events and alerts across Cloud, Network, and Infrastructure environments.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls for cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Support network security operations including firewall rules, VPN access, and network segmentation.
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch validation, and remediation tracking.
- Support infrastructure security for Windows and Linux servers including hardening and access control.
- Participate in incident response activities including triage, investigation support, and documentation.
- Access provisioning, modification, and de‑provisioning.
- Assist with Privileged Access Management (PAM) activities such as privileged account management.
- Onboarding of application and access validation.
- Assist with application onboarding to IAM platforms using standard connectors.
- Monitor IAM workflows, jobs, and alerts and elevate failures appropriately.
- Support incident and service request resolution related to authentication and access issues.
- Maintain IAM documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and defense-in-depth.
- Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts (IAM, network security groups, logging, monitoring).
- Understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Basic experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security monitoring tools.
- Awareness of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks).
- Introductory scripting or automation skills (Power Shell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and least privilege.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Exposure to IAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, or Cyber Ark.
- Awareness of identity protocols including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Basic understanding of cloud identity integrations (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and adherence to security processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new security technologies.
- Ability to work in shift‑based or on‑call support models if required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a Cybersecurity concentration and/or Cybersecurity major or a related field.
- Exposure to Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Network Operations, IT Support or Identity and Access Management.
- Relevant certifications (nice to have):
Azure/AWS Fundamentals, Network+, Security.
New hires will start in June 2026 in our Cognizant Englewood, CO office.
Salary and Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is $65,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
