Senior IT Business Analyst – Hybrid (Lansing, MI)

Duration: 12 months (extension possible).
Rate: $45-49/hr.
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite, no remote-only).
Location Requirement: Local candidates within 1–1.5 hours of Lansing, MI.
Interview: In-person required.

• 7+ years IT Business Analyst experience (enterprise software projects)
• Azure Dev Ops (2+ years): backlog, user stories, sprint tracking, defect management
• Quality Assurance (QA) & UAT coordination (strong requirement)
• SDLC & Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Stakeholder & executive communication

• Lead requirements gathering
  , stakeholder interviews, and workshops
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and process modeling
• Act as liaison between business, development, and QA teams
• Manage backlogs, user stories, tasks, and defects
• Support sprint planning, grooming, and tracking
• Maintain requirements traceability using Dev Ops
• Track progress and metrics via Dev Ops dashboards

• Define and review test plans, test cases, and QA strategy
• Support functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Manage defect lifecycle through resolution
• Ensure test coverage and data validation

• Identify and implement process optimization opportunities
• Recommend automation and system enhancements
• Support change management, SOPs, and training

• Develop process flows, business rules, and system documentation
• Present findings to stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure clear communication between technical and business teams

• Bachelor’s degree (IT, Computer Science, Business, or related)
• 7+ years Business Analyst experience
• Hands‑on Azure Dev Ops experience
• Strong QA/UAT experience
• Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile
• Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in enterprise‑scale Agile environments
• Exposure to SQL, APIs, data integration, system architecture
• Experience with CI/CD and release processes
