Job Overview
TEKsystems, on behalf of a client, is looking for experienced Desktop Support professionals to join a local enterprise IT department. The role is ideal for candidates with an IT degree, internship, or small amount of experience who want to grow their skills and advance their careers. It offers a first shift opportunity on a Contract‑to‑Hire basis and is suitable for support individuals at any level.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and a range of software applications.
- Swap laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
- Re‑image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.
- Assist all users with logged IT incidents.
- Take ownership of issues, conduct problem analysis, implement temporary or permanent fixes, and, when necessary, escalat e incidents to other support teams.
- Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
- Install and configure new IT equipment.
- Resolve incidents involving printers, copiers and scanners.
- Maintain a first‑class level of customer service, ensuring customers are treated efficiently and appropriately.
Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred. IT certifications, especially CompTIA, are desirable. Candidates must be willing to work the first shift and have the flexibility to transition from contract to permanent employment.
Pay & BenefitsPay range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
