In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with teams of applied scientists and engineers to deliver high quality Generative AI models, Data Agent, Analytics solutions and services that delight our customers with the confidence that their data is safe and protected.

We are seeking an exceptional applied scientist to work on innovative Generative AI & Data Analytics modeling research and development efforts. As a Senior Principal Applied Scientist in Generative AI Science team, you will be architecting, building and deploying cutting-edge, high-quality AI models and solutions will work with a team of world-class scientists in exploring new frontiers of Generative AI and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers and product managers to deploy these globally for real-world enterprise use-cases at the largest scale.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of Generative AI & Data Analytics at Oracle and across the industry. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered services for large-scale enterprise customers.

+ Research and Development:
Conduct in-depth research on Generative AI and Data Analytics, with a focus on Large Language Models (architecture, models, representation, evaluation, optimizations, planning, among others), and other emerging approaches.
+ AI Data and Agent Development:
Design, develop, and train state-of-the-art LLM models and Agents that meet the highest quality standards.
+ Team Leadership: technical leadership and mentor junior scientists.

Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Generative AI capabilities into various applications and products.

Innovation: Identify new opportunities for Generative AI and Data Analytics and explore emerging technologies for Unstructured and Structured Data.
+ Stay Updated:
Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in this space.
** Qualifications and Experience** :
+ PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years relevant experience in Computer Science (focused on LLM, Agent, Analytics) or related fields;
+ Strong publication record, including as a lead author, in top-tier journals or AI/LLM/Analytics conferences.
+ Extensive experience in NLP, LLM, VLM, Retrieval, Enrichment and Analytics.
+ Proven track record of leading research and development projects.
+ Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong leadership and communication abilities

Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off:
Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible…
