System Analyst

Job Description Overview

• On-site/in person workdays:
Tuesday and Wednesday (8 hours per day). Must work in office on those days, no exceptions. Ideal candidate lives within one hour of Lansing, MI. First month of work will be on-site five days per week for onboarding.

• Functions as part of an Agile team with heavy use of Azure Dev Ops. The System Analyst 3 is responsible for gathering, documenting, and testing clear, unambiguous business requirements. Acts as Scrum Master and coordinates with the PMO’s Project Manager for required artifacts and documentation.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
• Create test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on requirements.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing; log and track defects.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business partners.
• Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Assist with system demonstrations, training materials, and production validation.
• Ensure documentation remains accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

• Business Analyst – 3 years
• Quality Assurance Analyst – 3 years
• Azure Dev Ops Knowledge – 3 years
• Understanding of BA, QA, and DEV roles/responsibilities – 3 years
• Experienced with as‑is/to‑be processes and content creation – 3 years
• Experience with creating product roadmap – 3 years
• Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile – 3 years
• Adept with using BA/QA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio) – 3 years
