Departmental Analyst; Trainee -P11

This position supports the programs, initiatives and services of the System Security, Risk and Compliance Section within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The Sr. Business Analyst conducts research and data analysis, compiles and reconciles program metrics, and provides recommendations to SRC management and OCTO executive leadership to improve service delivery.

• Perform research and data analysis to support SRC programs.
• Compile, reconcilate, and report security, risk and compliance metrics for enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance program service delivery.
• Maintain, develop, and evaluate training materials, documentation, and SOPs to ensure quality and adherence to SLAs.
• Participate in special projects, deliver presentations, attend meetings, and work with peers and management to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in work groups, tracking metrics, and aligning with strategic goals.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any major.
• Experience:
  • Level 9 – No specific experience required.
  • Level 10 – One year of professional experience.
  • Level P11 – Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level.

Lansing, MI. Hybrid work option: two days on site per week and three days remote.
