Digital Standards and Web Accessibility Reviewer

We are seeking a Digital Standards and Web Accessibility Reviewer to join our team.
The selected candidate will work a hybrid schedule consisting of two (2) days each week onsite (Tuesday and Wednesday) in Lansing, MI and three (3) days each week remotely


Overview:
Our client is seeking to hire a Web Accessibility Analyst to conduct reviews for adherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, which include standards for branding and digital accessibility.

Job Duties:

• Conduct reviews of SOM websites and applications and documents for adherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications

• Test for digital accessibility using manual and automated tools including screen reader and other assistive technology

• Review for adherence with additional standards including branding

• Perform testing on desktop and mobile devices

• Thoroughly document review results

• Provide results to application support teams and stakeholders and meet with teams to explain results

• Work closely with eMichigan team members to ensure processes are followed and optimized

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education:

• Some college

Required Skills:

• 1+ years of testing applications for digital accessibility
• 1 year working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
• Advanced skills using assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, Voice Over, Talk Back

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of testing applications for digital accessibility
• Certification related to WCAG
• Previous government experience
