Duration: 1 year with the intention for contractor to convert to fulltime
Hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence 2 days a week.
The Software Test Analyst 5 position will work as a contract resource for the Client supporting multiple software development projects for the Department of Health and Human Services. The resource will act in a tester and analyst role for various in-flight projects. The resource will work in an agile environment to write and execute use cases, test plans and develop testing scripts for custom .NET
web applications.
- Designing and executing manual and automated test cases.
- Understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes (Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, Data Conversion).
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
- Java and Java Script
- Issue tracking and defect management.
- Generating and documenting test plans and strategies.
- Generating testing reports and metrics.
- API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client and others.
- Writing SQL, P-SQL queries.
- Generating and acquiring test data.
- Ability to work in person in downtown Lansing 2 days a week.
- Build environments {DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD} specific test suites with integrated application life cycle management.
- Experience with industry standard automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Provar, Katalon, etc.).
- Experience using Azure Dev Ops Testing Module.
- Experience with Mobile App testing of iOS and Android applications.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools like JMeter or Load Runner.
- Experience with ADA Compliance testing tools, such as Acc Verify, JAWS, etc.
