Job Overview

American Airlines – Manager – Technology Department Information Generation Team.

We are seeking a Manager to create an environment where Agile software development teams can deliver platform services on time, with high quality, and meeting customer expectations using Agile methodologies.

• Collaborate with business and IT management to determine and communicate company vision, direction, and priorities, and drive progress toward goal roadmaps.
• Remodel product teams to deliver enterprise value incrementally and often in alignment with company targets and key outcomes.
• Ensure sound product management, Agile, and Dev Ops practices.
• Create an environment that enables squads to be self‑governing and accountable for their performance and delivery commitments.
• Continuously acquire and share knowledge and best practices within the organization.
• Remove obstacles, build relationships, and communicate effectively across all levels of leadership.
• Manage and track product budgets.
• Lead adoption and migration of emerging technologies.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing team of individuals with diverse skill sets.
• Maintain strong technical troubleshooting, multi‑tasking, coordination, and scheduling skills.
• Set and uphold technology standards and ensure visibility and predictability.
• Handle production incidents, off‑hours support, communication, and coordination as needed.
• Travel as required.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree in technology, records systems, finance, accounting, or related technical discipline, or equivalent education.
• Minimum: 4 years of experience collaborating on delivery of solutions using ITIL, Agile, XP, or comparable methodologies.
• Minimum: 4 years of experience leading product teams.
• Minimum: 4 years of hands‑on experience in J2EE and related technologies.
• Desired:
  Airline enterprise experience with knowledge of team disruption management and enterprise technology.

  Experience leading product teams that use Agile methodologies, Dev Ops, and associated tools.
