Job Description

The organization maintains an enterprise data warehouse built on the Teradata ecosystem and is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to administer, support, and optimize the enterprise data warehouse environment.

Required Experience (8+ Years)

  • Teradata upgrades, provisioning, and software maintenance
  • Scripting using BASH, Perl, Python, and Glink
  • Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU)
  • Teradata workload management
  • Teradata backup and recovery
  • Performance tuning and resource optimization
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
  • Cloud computing fundamentals, networking, and resource allocation (Microsoft Azure preferred)
  • Statistics and performance analysis
  • Security planning and audit support
  • Experience with federal compliance standards such as NIST 800-53, IRS Publication 1075, SSA, Medicaid
    , or similar regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain enterprise data warehouse platforms across Production, Development/Disaster Recovery, and Test environments.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, and overall system performance.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patching, maintenance, and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution, upgrades, and product support.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform and database issues.
  • Optimize workload management and system resource utilization.
  • Develop long-term platform strategies and implementation plans.
  • Provide disaster recovery planning guidance and operational support.
  • Maintain platform security and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Support enterprise database administrators and technical teams with platform expertise.
  • Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and operational best practices.
