Network Engineer- W2

* Main location is in Lansing, open to Grand Rapids*

Our client is currently embarking on two large scaled initiatives:
One Epic and One IT. These roles are available in order to prepare each environment's networking infrastructure in order to begin the transition to one common platform of Epic. Additionally, they will be combing both IT environments and organizations (One IT).

Their current Network Team is focused on the one IT initiative, so these contractors will be back filling their duties in which they prepare their infrastructure for One Epic.

• Provide engineering backfill and project support for existing architects and network engineers
• Support network hardware refresh initiatives, including:
  • Switch refreshes across sites
  • Distribution refresh across 12 locations
  • Chassis refresh at one of the sites
• Assist with SDWAN rollouts across their environments
• Perform handson work with Cisco network infrastructure, including access, distribution, and chassisbased switches
• Support firewall platforms (Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower) depending on assignment
• Work onsite, with flexibility to assist across environments as needed
• Follow standard equipment configurations and operational practices (no deep architecture design required)

We are seeking three Network Engineers to support critical infrastructure initiatives across the two environments that the client has as part of the broader One Epic program. These roles will provide handson support for hardware refreshes, SDWAN rollouts, and engineering backfill, ensuring network stability and modernization across multiple sites.

Each engineer will be aligned to a specific demand, with opportunities to support both sites as workload and project timelines require. This is an onsite role with an anticipated start timeframe of July/August. If the days work does not require the resource to be onsite, they can work remote but this is onsite for the majority.

This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
