The Database Administrator supports the Department of Technology, Management and Budget by designing, developing, testing, and implementing SQL Server database systems for test and development environments within MDHHS. Under senior-level guidance, this role performs database installation, configuration, performance monitoring, security implementation, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery on Windows platforms. The position offers hybrid work in Lansing, MI with two days on-site and three days remote per week.
- Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, information systems, or related field
- Experience with SQL Server database design, development, and deployment
- Knowledge of database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Database security design and implementation experience
- Understanding of Windows platform database environments and disaster recovery practices
