Senior Build Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Build Engineer with strong Azure Dev Ops experience to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid cloud environment. This role focuses on build automation, pipeline reliability, and integration across Azure and on-prem systems while supporting both Java technology stacks.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild & CI/CD Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines (YAML and classic)
- Implement and optimize enterprise build pipelines for Java applications
- Maintain build tools including Maven, Gradle, and MSBuild
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, dependency, and deployment issues
Source Control & Code Quality
- Administer Azure Repos and Git Hub repositories
- Define and enforce branching strategies, PR policies, and versioning standards
- Integrate Sonar Qube for code quality and static analysis
- Manage artifact versioning and promotion strategies
Artifact & Dependency Management
- Manage and maintain Nexus or Artifactory repositories
- Implement dependency governance and artifact lifecycle management
- Ensure secure and repeatable builds across environments
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
- Support deployments across Azure and on-prem environments
- Provision and manage infrastructure using ARM templates and Terraform
- Configure and maintain Windows and Linux build agents
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams on hybrid integrations
Security & Compliance
- Integrate security scanning into build pipelines
- Manage secrets and credentials securely
- Ensure CI/CD processes comply with enterprise security and audit standards
Automation & Scripting
- Develop automation using Power Shell, Bash, and Python
- Automate build, test, release, and environment setup processes
- Continuously improve pipeline performance and reliability
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a technical leader for build and CI/CD practices
- Mentor developers and junior engineers on Dev Ops best practices
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams
- Contribute to Dev Ops standards, documentation, and governance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Build Engineering, Dev Ops, or CI/CD
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Expertise in Java and/or.
