Position SummaryThe Business Analyst supports the tolling modernization program by performing business and system analysis across microservices, data workflows, and application modernization. The BA will develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and communication materials while collaborating closely with developers, architects, QA testers, and operational teams. The role includes light QA support focused on validating requirements and acceptance criteria. This position reports to the Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and document business and system requirements for microservices, API workflows, and modernization efforts.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and other structured documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and operational teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Facilitate clarification sessions to ensure alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Use Azure Dev Ops Boards to manage backlog items and track progress.
- Provide QA support as needed, focused on validating user stories and confirming acceptance criteria.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and project leadership.
- 7+ years of business and system analysis experience.
- Experience creating requirements for APIs and modernization initiatives.
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops Boards.
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to interpret basic SQL queries and understand relational data structures.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with microservices.
- Experience working in regulatory or compliance-driven environments.
- Tolling or transportation domain experience.
- User stories and acceptance criteria.
- Process maps and workflow documentation.
- Requirements traceability and QA validation support.
