Pettibone seeks an experienced Fulfillment Center Manager to join their Aftermarket team in Baraga, Michigan
.
The ideal Fulfillment Center Manager keeps parts, people, inventory, suppliers, and shipping moving in the right direction. This hands‑on leader oversees daily fulfillment center operations, including procurement, warehouse flow, shipping logistics, inventory control, budgeting, reporting, and team development. You’ll work with suppliers, logistics partners, sales, engineering, and customer service to keep the aftermarket parts operation accurate, efficient, and customer‑focused. When customers need parts, downtime is the enemy — and you’re the person who helps keep heavy equipment working in the field while making the parts centre run better, smoother, and smarter every day.

- Lead daily parts fulfillment centre operations (purchasing, warehouse flow, shipping, and inventory).
- Develop procurement strategies for OE parts and build strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate with suppliers and monitor supplier performance, pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Improve warehouse layout, processes, equipment use, safety, and productivity.
- Manage shipping logistics to help parts reach customers on time and cost‑effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and reduce excess inventory.
- Use ERP and inventory management systems to track stock, orders, and deliveries.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team across procurement, warehouse, and logistics.
- Manage the fulfilment centre budget, review performance, and prepare reports for leadership.
- Partner with sales, engineering, customer service, suppliers, and vendors to improve the supply chain.
- 5 or more years of experience in fulfilment operations, supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience improving warehouse operations and managing shipping logistics.
- Strong leadership skills and experience supervising or developing a team (currently
5). - Solid communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to manage details, deadlines, people, vendors, and priorities without losing the big picture.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel, as needed.
